Before Holy week, my friend Poncia Glaiza Acharon also known as Pogac of Soledad Estate (Labus) planned to do the traditional thing of the Filipino's every Holy week, which is the Bisista Iglesia. You need to visit 14 Parish Churches which symbolizes the 14 stations of the Cross but here in General Santos City, we only have 6 Parish Churches and for additional, Novitiate is not a Parish Church but they are open every Holy Week for Bisita Iglesia so all in all, there are 7 churches to visit.
First, we visit the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church located at Fatima, Uhaw General Santos City - Near Airport.
First, we visit the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church located at Fatima, Uhaw General Santos City - Near Airport.
We now then visit Holy Cross Parish Church as our 2nd station at Calumpang, General Santos City - this was also the time the rain started to pour, poor Ashie.
For our 3rd destination, we visited St. Michael Archangel Parish Church located at Purok Malakas, General Santos City - the time when Ate Ten noticed that her wallet was lost so we don't have any choice but to go back to Holy Cross, Calumpang to look for it. Luckily, Tom found it. God is really good. (Umuulan kaya wala kaming picture kaya yan lang :)
After when wallet was found, the rain stopped. We now then go for the 4th station in Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, the biggest church in the City located at the center part of the City.
5th station is in Novitiate, located near Gaisano Mall.
For our 6th station, we visit St. Peter and Paul Parsih Church in Lagao, General Santos City.
And lastly, the 7th station is in Sto. Niño Parish Church located at Bula, General Santos City.
After the Bisita Iglesia, I feel blessed and my soul was being sanctified. It was a perfect activity during Holy Week instead of spending my time in beach or pool parties and etc. My faith towards him was strengthened more and through that activity, sins were being confessed and forgiveness was done to everyone. I just want to thank my friends who invited me to join this kind of activity, till next Bisita Iglesia next year guys :)
